In some cases the salary depends on the collective bargaining of employee union. A lot of companies have this structure where the employer will only negotiate to the union organization. Self respect is also very important for motivation in your career. You need to respect yourself in your office and also understand your role in your office. When you have respect for yourself, it implies that you are respecting your office and role. Having respect for your office is very important aspect of career motivation. When you do not have regard for your office no matter how little it might be you will not be motivated to aspire for a higher office. Once you are not happy with your office, frustration will set in. there will be lack of commitment in what you are doing and lack of commitment leads to lack of motivation.
Be Tolerant
There are many people in your office. Definitely some are higher in rank than you while you are higher in rank than other. There may be one or two people that you find their characters objectionable. Such characters can lower your motivation. But if you are tolerant you can easily accommodate the person’s behavior instead of being un-motivated in your office.
